February 13 - December 11 Uptown Station Movie Nights End Date: December 11; Duration: 302 Days Uptown Station will hold Saturday night "Movie Nights" beginning February 20. Times vary (check with Uptown Station for exact start times). Two movies will be shown each month, with the exception of February. Movie Nights are free to the public and are shown on a 30-foot inflatable movie screen in Central Park. No pets or glass containers are allowed. March 19 - September 3 Downtown Spring Kickoff Party and Artwalk End Date: September 3; Duration: 169 Days There will be musicians placed throughout downtown Fort Walton Beach and the artwalk. Merchants will offer complimentary beverages and hor d'eouvres. First Artwalk of the season is on March 19, at 5:30pm and there will be an artwalk every Friday through Labor Day. March 26 - September 10 Stand Up and Paddle (SUP) Jam at Fish Lipz End Date: September 10; Duration: 169 Days The SUP JAM is a stand up paddle board event series open to the public. Through September, paddlers will race for prizes and bragging rights. Demonstration boards will be on hand for those who want to learn more about the sport. Dates: March 26, April 16, May 14, June 18, July 16, August 13, August 28 and September 10.

May 27 - September 2 Red, White & Blue Celebration at HarborWalk Village End Date: September 2; Duration: 99 Days Join HarborWalk Village each week for the Red, White and Blue Celebration honoring local heroes. This weekly event is sponsored by Buffalo Rock, Pepsi MAX and Cox Media. The celebrations will being at 7 pm at the ampitheater in front of the Emerald Grande. Following the ceremony, there will be a mini vintage air show and fireworks.

May 29 - September 4 Pirate Exhibit End Date: September 4; Duration: 99 Days The Fort Walton Beach Heritage Park and Cultural Center, along with the Friends of the Museums, presents an original exhibit titled "Pirates: The Last Scourge of the Gulf" opening May 29, 10am - 4:30pm. The exhibit is scheduled to be on display all summer inside the Indian Temple Mound Museum Lazarus Education Center. The exhibit examines the real pirates who swept across the Gulf of Mexico in the early 19th Century and wreaked havoc on American shipping along the Gulf Coast from Texas to Florida. Coast is $5 plus tax for adults; $4.50 plus tax for seniors 55 and older and military personnel; and $3 plus tax for children 3 - 17.
